Hello! We’re the Weidemanns: Brent, Erin, and Rooney Cruz.
Five years ago, after tossing around some ideas for our niece Hannah’s birthday, we decided to make her a storybook about a female hero in the Bible (whose name she happens to share!). When we gave her the book, she smiled, shrugged, and said, “I didn’t even know there was a Hannah in the Bible.” She and her sister could however name and tell us all the details of every Disney Princess.
A light went off. Wouldn’t it be great if girls today were just as excited about biblical women as they are about princesses: examples of true beauty, women who can be real heroes for girls today? That would be something. That would be everything.
And, just like that, Bible Belles was born.
Since then we’ve been on a mission to connect girls with real heroes: positive role models that our daughter, and all the other daughters out there, can look up to.
Thanks for being part of this incredible journey!Read the full story here

WHO IS ROONEY CRUZ?
Rooney Cruz is the main character who embarks on a series of adventures that allow her to have an “up close and personal” experience with each Bible Belle. Thanks to some help from the angel Mari, Rooney learns about one special superpower that each Belle possessed, earning the power for herself. From the moment she acquires her first superpower, her transformation into a real life superhero begins. Through her journey, Rooney comes to understand God’s love, the true definition of beauty, and that her life's purpose is to become the leader He created her to be.
